Ohhhh my am I feeling the love from Cunningham Photo Artists AND L O V I N G seeing the shots we captured at our shoot for J. Major’s new advertising campaign at Butter Charlotte. Still beyond thrilled and loving C.J. from J. Major’s for hiring me to style the shoot. We used some fabulous dresses from Claire Pettibone, Lazaro, Amy Kuschel and Romona Keveza with the mad hair skills of Mandi English and incredible make-up talent by Kymm McLean of Who’s the Fairest?

I picked up this Colette tote this weekend in NYC at Opening Ceremony. It’s perfect for my laptop and notebook. And it makes me feel the slightest bit French. (Although I’m not even close. Meh.)

Bridal Fashion: Bridal Market in NYC

This past weekend (and Monday and Tuesday) at Bridal Market/Fashion Shows in NYC (Wedding Channel Couture Shows, the International Bridal Market and independent designer runway shows) was a whirlwind of fun, dresses, champagne, cheek kisses, hellos, taxi receipts, subway rides, delicious meals, swag bags, laughter with friends and colleagues, new connections, tea, wine, shopping and just plain ridiculous fun. I’m digging out but will begin working on my blogs of each collection asap!

Can’t wait to share the deets!

Weekend Ahead: Charlotte Observer Local Blogging Panel

As a lifestyle blogger (swankypeach and bride + groom) I’ve been asked to speak on a panel at this weekend’s Hyper-local Publishing and Blogging 101 seminar sponsored by the Charlotte Observer.

I’m looking forward to sharing information, tips and knowledge (I hope I know as much as attendees expect me to!) with guests and meeting other bloggers in Charlotte. I hear I’ll be in the company of other speakers like Rick Thames of the Charlotte Observer’s site, an old-friend Jarvis Halliday (we’re both from Augusta, Ga. and University of South Carolina grads) of Grown People Talking, and the fellas behind CLTblog.com so I’m definitely looking forward to it!

It’s a sold-out event — for a mere $10 it’s well worth a few hours on your Saturday — and runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Observer building. A big thanks to Alicia Roberts for asking me to participate!

By giving the gifts of dream weddings & vow renewals, Wish Upon a Wedding is able to grant some of the most intimate and heartfelt wishes of these people’s lives, and help them share their wedding day with close family members.

Celebrity wedding and event planner Sasha Souza will be in attendance at the Charlotte gala and tickets are available to sit specifically at her table!

The chapter is also accepting silent auction donations and corporate sponsorships.
